Welcome to a bright, remodeled 1970s home in Tempe’s distinctive The Lakes community. With a private pool + spa, huge covered patio, two living areas and the neighborhood lake just a 2-minute walk away, this is a home designed for families and friends to spread out, play and enjoy Arizona together.

The spacious primary suite features a King bed, private en-suite bathroom and a recliner for reading or relaxing. Two generously sized guest bedrooms each have a Queen bed, individual décor and ample storage.

For a 7th guest, we provide a Twin rollaway. All three bedrooms are exceptionally spacious, so the rollaway can comfortably be placed in any of them—giving families flexibility in their sleeping arrangements.

Traveling with a little one? A Pack ’n Play is also provided.

PRIVATE POOL + SPA

Your private backyard is made for Arizona living. The pool features shallow and deep ends plus a long built-in bench, giving you space to swim, float, play or simply sit in the water and cool off.

The private spa offers another place to relax, and optional pool heat is available for an additional fee during cooler weather. When pool heat is purchased, spa heating is included. During Arizona’s warmer months, the sun does the work beautifully.

We provide pool floats, toys, loungers and plenty of beach towels, and pool lighting makes evening swims even more inviting.

100-FT COVERED PATIO + BBQ

One of the standout features of the home is the approximately 100-foot cabana-style covered patio stretching along the backyard. It provides plenty of shaded space for lounging, outdoor dining and spending time together.

A built-in BBQ with rotisserie makes poolside dinners easy, while the large enclosed yard and real green grass create a true backyard rather than just a pool deck.

TWO LIVING AREAS

One of the features we especially value in a vacation home is having room for everyone to spread out. Tempe Lake Retreat has both a Living Room and a separate Family Room, so the whole group doesn't have to do the same thing at the same time.

The home has 3 Smart TVs, located in the Living Room, Family Room and primary bedroom. One group can watch a game or movie while others relax, talk or enjoy a different program in another space.

THE LAKE + FISHING

Although the home is not directly on the water, the neighborhood lake and public dock are just a 2-minute walk away.

Take an evening stroll to the water, watch an Arizona sunset from the dock, or bring your fishing gear and enjoy some time by the lake. It’s an unusual neighborhood experience that gives Tempe Lake Retreat a completely different feel from a typical city vacation rental.

FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN

The kitchen is stocked for real meals at home, whether you're making a quick breakfast before an ASU event or grilling dinner after an afternoon in the pool.

You’ll also find the thoughtful comforts we appreciate when we travel ourselves, including quality linens, plush bath towels, pool towels and everyday essentials to make settling in easy.

DOG-FRIENDLY BACKYARD + DOGGY DOOR

Dogs deserve vacations too! We welcome up to 3 approved dogs, and this home is particularly convenient for guests traveling with them.

A doggy door provides direct access to the large, enclosed backyard with real grass, giving approved, house-trained dogs an easy way to get outside.

Prior approval and a pet fee are required.

GARAGE + EASY PARKING

Guests have use of the full garage, plus driveway and street parking. It’s especially convenient for road trips, families traveling with multiple vehicles and longer stays—and a garage is particularly nice to have during the Arizona summer.

THREE WAYS TO ENJOY THE WATER

Tempe Lake Retreat puts you close to some of Tempe’s best outdoor recreation.

The Lakes: The neighborhood lake and public dock are just a 2-minute walk from the house—great for sunset walks and fishing.

Kiwanis Park + Lake: Less than a mile away, this expansive community park offers another nearby destination for outdoor recreation, walking and time by the water.

Tempe Town Lake: A short drive takes you to one of Tempe’s best-known destinations, with waterfront paths, biking, activities and easy access to Downtown Tempe.

CLOSE TO ASU + THE BEST OF TEMPE

You can enjoy a peaceful neighborhood setting while staying close to ASU, Downtown Tempe, Tempe Beach Park and Tempe Marketplace. Catch an ASU game or graduation, explore restaurants and shopping, or use the home as your base for Cactus League Spring Training.

Then come home to your own pool, spa, huge covered patio and backyard.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. Grace period with free cancellation (no cancellation fees or partial refunds possible) for 24 hours after booking if arrival is at least 48 hours away at time of booking.

Rates vary by season, day of week, holidays, ASU events, Spring Training and local demand. Rates shown are for the home and its standard amenities. Optional **pool heating is available for an additional daily fee**, based on the season, outdoor temperatures and current pool temperature. Please contact us a few days before arrival and we can check the pool temperature and provide the current heating cost. A 2-night minimum applies to pool heat. Access to **The Lakes Beach & Tennis Club is available upon request at no additional charge** to registered guests. Approved dogs are welcome for an additional pet fee. Additional fees and applicable taxes may apply.
